So, being the idiot that I am, I scheduled this post for the 11th January by accident instead of the 11th December – doh. So apologies for this very late instalment of Blogmas! I’m not gonna lie, this week has been a toughy. I really feel like I am being tested at the moment and my patience and mental wellbeing is really starting to wear thin. However, to counteract how rubbish I’ve been feeling, I’ve been thinking about all the things in my life that I am thankful for, especially at this time of year.

Firstly, being away from home right now is making my homesickness shoot through the roof and is reminding me of what an amazing, strong and wonderful family I have. I am so lucky to have a family that support me so much is everything I do.

Whenever I am feeling low – I just think of being home with them all at Christmas and getting to see them everyday. My nanna, grandad and mum just drove all the way from Wales to watch a one hour carol concert I was in, in Worcester Cathedral. I honestly felt like that bit in I’m a celeb when the family members go into the jungle a few days before then end to give them that final push! Seeing them is just what I needed to get me through the final few weeks of the semester.

I’m also very thankful for Alex. Despite the fact his stresses me out to the point I actually cannot explain, he really is a good egg. We don’t get to spend much time together just us at the moment as our lives our constantly taken over by loco with show weekend looming over us. One thing that always gets me through my days is knowing that no matter what, I’ll be coming home to him at the end of them. I also can’t believe that this is our 5th Christmas together!

Finally, I’m super thankful for my wonderful society. We have had so many good times together over the past few months but also over the past few years. I have made my best friends from being in Loco Show Co and my university experience just wouldn’t be the same without it. I am so looking forward to sharing the stage with them and showing everyone what we are made of!

I hope you all have something to be thankful for this Christmas too.

Happy Blogmas,

Meg xo
