BLOGMAS – DAY 24: CHRISTMAS EVE PAMPER ESSENTIALS

As if it is Christmas Day tomorrow! I feel like it’s come around so quickly this year and I can’t wait to finally celebrate the big day with my nearest and dearest. Every year I treat myself to a Christmas Eve pamper so I thought I’d share my routine and essential pamper items!

Fresh PJs and Bed Linen

The first rule of a pamper night is fresh linen and clean PJs. There’s nothing down snuggling down the night before santa arrives with crisp bedding to get you all relaxed and ready for the big day.

Bubble Bath with all the Trimmings

Something you may not know about me is that I am an absolute sucker for a bath. Growing up in my house, we didn’t have a working shower so every night I would have a bath. When I’m ready to settle down for the night, I run a piping hot bath with the finest bubbles I can find – this year I went for some jasmine and vanilla scented ones.

My amazing friend Ebony also got me a snow fairy gift box for Christmas that I had been saving for tonight so I now smell like candy floss and glitter (yes that’s a thing).

Bath Bombs

I demonstrate the best self control when walking past LUSH throughout the year. However, that’s because I know that come Christmas I will treat myself to a bath bomb or two for my Christmas eve pamper night. It’ll come as no surprise that I picked up my forever favourite ‘snow fairy’ jelly bomb, but I also picked up a ‘butter bear’ bath bomb too as it is gentle on my skin and always makes it super soft. Pair these with the bubble bath and I’ve got myself the bath tub of dreams!

Fresh Nails

Once I’ve finished bathing, I attempt to give myself a manicure. Now I am the first to admit that I am not very good at doing my nails but I give it my best shot. This year I went for a redy/purple colour with some gold glitter and mutli coloured sparkles. The picture doesn’t do the colours justice, but I am happy with the end result.

Christmas Telly

In my new PJs, smelling delish and waiting for my nails to dry it’s time to start the Christmas telly marathon. I’m currently watching Mary Poppins on BBC one and later I will move on to the Gavin and Stacey Christmas special and my fave Christmas film – The Holiday (perhaps with a cheeky glass of wine too).

I hope you’re enjoying your Christmas eve and have a relaxing evening too!

Happy Blogmas,

Meg xo
