It’s no secret that theatre and amateur dramatics have played a huge role in my life and are one of my biggest passions. I spent every year from age 8 to age 18 in a local theatre society and since moving back to Abergavenny after uni, it has been something I have wanted to get back involved with. Last year as I eased into my life as a graduate, I decided to just participate in Pantomime whilst I found my bearings but missed the experience of putting on musicals greatly. That is why when the opportunity arose to join the AAODS committee I jumped at the chance to be a part of this society again.

LEADING LADIES I WOUD LOVE TO PLAY
Hello again. I know it’s been forever since I’ve blogged but honestly the global crisis we find ourselves in with Corona has been taken its toll and I’ve had zero motivation for anything. However, I’m trying to get out of my unproductive slump by focusing on all the things I have time for now that I didn’t before. I’ve been doing one of those ’30 day song challenges’ (don’t moan, I genuinely love finding out about people’s music taste etc) and one of them is a Broadway/West End themed one. Today’s theme is ‘a song from your dream role’ and seems as I couldn’t pick just one, I thought I would write a post all about my dream theatre roles in hopes they may one day come true! I FINALLY SAW HAMILTON
Hello and happy February everyone! January was a pretty full on month for me where lots of great things happened – I turned 22, saw the Jonas Brothers, got a promotion amongst other things. I think I’ll do a January recap soon that covers everything in detail. However, the highlight of the month has to be my Christmas present from Alex which was a trip to London to see Hamilton! BLOGMAS 2019 – DAY 12: CAROLS, CAKE AND CHORUS
Sing it with me “on the twelfth day of Blogmas on minims and mischief!” Super cheesy I know, but had to be done! For the twelfth day of blogmas, I thought I would document a super Christmassy day off spent volunteering at a local community music group called ‘cake and chorus’. Continue reading “BLOGMAS 2019 – DAY 12: CAROLS, CAKE AND CHORUS”

THE WEDDING SINGER
So as I am writing this it has almost been one whole week since our first performance of The Wedding Singer and I honestly have no idea where the time has gone. I don’t think I’ve quite processed that the show or my time in Loco has come to an end (and I’m going to write a separate post bidding Loco farewell when I am emotionally stable enough) but here is a look back at my last show with my beloved Loco Show Co. Prepare for lots of pics.
