Apparently today marks National Theatre Day and seeing that pop up on my newsfeed this morning just made me smile! I mentioned in my previous post that some stuff has being going on recently that has made me feel pretty defeated and down – a lot of the situation revolves around my theatre society and some problems we’ve been having. However, reflecting on all the wonderful experiences and memories that theatre has given me throughout my life has helped motivate me continue and rise above the negativity that is surrounding me at the moment. CASTING A MUSICAL #2
Well if you asked me 12 months ago if I would be writing this post I would have said you were mad, but here we are again! I don’t think I’ve actually shared this with you all yet but I am back doing my old role as musical director again for my musical theatre society as we perform ‘The Wedding Singer’ in May! As a result, this weekend was spent watching some super talented people audition and ultimately putting the cast together for our performances. Continue reading “CASTING A MUSICAL #2”
BLOGMAS – DAY 20: CAROL CONCERT IN PICTURES
I cannot believe there are only 5 days until Christmas! Who would have thought it would come around so quickly. I also can’t believe that I am writing this Blogmas post whilst having a break from essay writing as, yep, I’m still in uni! Continue reading “BLOGMAS – DAY 20: CAROL CONCERT IN PICTURES”
BLOGMAS – DAY 17: SHREK THE PANTOMIME

BLOGMAS – DAY 12: PERFORMING AT THE UNIVERSITY CAROL CONCERT
Every year the University of Worcester hold a carol service in Worcester Cathedral. Last year, I was approached by a member of my student services department and asked if Loco would be interested in getting involved as they wanted more student input in the service. Well, two years later we are still participating in this wonderful event and this year was extra special. Continue reading “BLOGMAS – DAY 12: PERFORMING AT THE UNIVERSITY CAROL CONCERT”

Continue reading “BLOGMAS – DAY 10: PANTO REHEARSALS AND PAINTING SET”
FIRST WEEK OF REHEARSALS
Hello my lovelies! I hope you’re enjoying a chilled Sunday. This week has, as always, been a bit crazy but that’s partly due to the fact rehearsals for the panto have begun! After a year of teaching the music and doing all the behind the scenes bits that make a show, being back as a member of cast is definitely a strange feeling. Continue reading “FIRST WEEK OF REHEARSALS”
PERFORMING AT FRESHER’S CIDER FEST

A WEEK AT THE THEATRE
This week I got to spend most of my time back in my favourite theatre, as I worked backstage for my old secondary school’s show – Evita. The Borough Theatre in Abergavenny was literally my second home growing up. I used to do three musicals and one pantomime there a year and rehearse there four days a week, so it was such a welcome feeling being back. However, this time I swapped performing for being part of the backstage crew and here’s how I got on. Continue reading “A WEEK AT THE THEATRE”
DEMI LOVATO: TELL ME YOU LOVE ME TOUR
On Friday 29th June I got to see my absolute idol and favourite artist in the world live for the second time. It’s no secret that I have been obsessed with Demi Lovato since she first appeared on the disney scene. I remember buying her first album in 2008 when I was ten years old and on holiday in America and from that moment I knew I was a Lovatic through and through. It was a night that I’ll never forget and that meant the world to me so here is a blog all about the trip, concert and how I felt watching it. Continue reading “DEMI LOVATO: TELL ME YOU LOVE ME TOUR”
