Hello again! We can’t believe it has been exactly one week since we picked up the keys to our first house. The love and support has been so overwhelming from everyone and if I’m honest, it still hasn’t hit us that the house we are currently working so hard to transform, will be our home very soon. In my last post, I chatted about us getting the house and our initial feelings etc but today I thought I would share a one week renovation update.

With three days to go, I finally made it home for Christmas break. I honestly feels so good to be back in my lovely, Welsh home town with my family. I know that this break is going to be short lived as I have to be back at uni by the 7th and also have exams and essays to work on but I am determined to make the most of it. I’m writing this Blogmas instalment after a very long day of weekend rehearsals. I’ve been feeling a bit under the weather the past few days – there’s some dreaded cold/flu bug going around that currently has me in its clutches. Thinking about going home for Christmas is giving me the push I need to get through the last two chaotic weeks of semester 1. Continue reading “BLOGMAS – DAY 9: WHAT’S ON MY CHRISTMAS TREE”

Hello lovelies! Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve posted – adult life properly took over as I was working 35 hours a week and had little spare time to blog. However, I am back now and have lots of new content coming your way over the next few weeks!

This week Alex and I moved back to Worcester for our final year at University! I know right, I can’t believe it either. There’s something extra special about moving back this time as Alex and I have officially moved in together and have our own little home! I thought I’d take some time to do a little tour of what we’ve managed to decorate so far.  Continue reading “OUR NEW UNI HOUSE TOUR”

This week I got to spend most of my time back in my favourite theatre, as I worked backstage for my old secondary school’s show – Evita. The Borough Theatre in Abergavenny was literally my second home growing up. I used to do three musicals and one pantomime there a year and rehearse there four days a week, so it was such a welcome feeling being back. However, this time I swapped performing for being part of the backstage crew and here’s how I got on. Continue reading “A WEEK AT THE THEATRE”

Hello! I am sorry it’s been so long since my last post, describing uni as stressful would be an under statement at the moment! Everything seems to be going to wrong lately and I’ve been feeling extremely overwhelmed and pretty down. However, I knew I had a weekend at home to look forward too and it was definitely worth the wait. My lovely Nanny Jenny turned 70 today and my family have been planning a surprise meal for her since the start of the year! Continue reading “SURPRISE 70TH BIRTHDAY BASH”

Hello again! As I’m sure many of you will have guessed if you follow my Instagram, I am enjoying a much needed few weeks at home over Easter break. It is so nice to be able to take things at a slower pace and enjoy spending time with my family without the constant stress of uni taking over. Last easter was a pretty turbulent one as my dad had a stroke, so needless to say I was a bit anxious and apprehensive about the break this year. However, I have done some really lovely things so my anxiety is slowly disappearing. Here’s what I got up to… Continue reading “HOW I SPENT EASTER”
