CASTING A MUSICAL #2

Well if you asked me 12 months ago if I would be writing this post I would have said you were mad, but here we are again! I don’t think I’ve actually shared this with you all yet but I am back doing my old role as musical director again for my musical theatre society as we perform ‘The Wedding Singer’ in May! As a result, this weekend was spent watching some super talented people audition and ultimately putting the cast together for our performances. Continue reading “CASTING A MUSICAL #2”

MY 21ST BIRTHDAY

Today marks one week since my big birthday! I feel like I’ve been waiting for it to come around for so long and that it was over far too quickly. I’ve been lucky enough to spread my celebrations across a whole week with  a family meal yesterday marking the final hoorah. Now that the celebrations are all over I can share with you all the amazing things I did to celebrate! Grab a cuppa as this might be a long one!  Continue reading “MY 21ST BIRTHDAY”

NEW YEAR GOALS & 2019 BUCKET LIST

Hello everyone and welcome to the first blog post of 2019! At this time of year, my feed is filled with posts about changes, resolutions and giving things up. I’m not really one for making ‘new year’s resolutions’ as such as if I want to change something in my life I tend not to wait around for the end of the year but I certainly do get the ‘new year, new me’ mantra for those that go with it. A YEAR IN MY LIFE: 2018

With just over a day left of 2018 I’ve been taking some time to reflect on all the amazing things that I accomplished and the memories I have made. When I think about it, 2018 was a really big year for me personally. I feel like I really found myself as a person (cliche I know) and finally gained a bit of self confidence. I also made some of the most amazing friendships and overcame obstacles that at the time seemed like impossible task. Continue reading “A YEAR IN MY LIFE: 2018”

BLOGMAS DAY 21: CHRISTMAS (PARTY) TIME

So tonight is my last night in uni and also the evening of our 2018 Christmas party. A few months ago, my friend Charys and I discussed how fun it would be to throw a Christmas party for all our friends as I celebration of the semester/farewell for Christmas break type thing.

Whilst sat in a furniture warehouse shop we decided on a theme for our theoretical party etc before deciding to take ourselves seriously and actually throw it! Continue reading “BLOGMAS DAY 21: CHRISTMAS (PARTY) TIME”

BLOGMAS – DAY 19: A SEMESTER OF SOCIALS

Today is Wednesday which usually only means one thing – social night! However, as we have now finished our show, this week everyone will either be heading home, doing assessments or having a well deserved break. As a result, I thought I would have a look back at the great socials from this semester. Bare with me as this might be a longer post than usual!  Continue reading “BLOGMAS – DAY 19: A SEMESTER OF SOCIALS”

BLOGMAS – DAY 12: PERFORMING AT THE UNIVERSITY CAROL CONCERT

Every year the University of Worcester hold a carol service in Worcester Cathedral. Last year, I was approached by a member of my student services department and asked if Loco would be interested in getting involved as they wanted more student input in the service. Well, two years later we are still participating in this wonderful event and this year was extra special. Continue reading “BLOGMAS – DAY 12: PERFORMING AT THE UNIVERSITY CAROL CONCERT”

BLOGMAS – DAY 11: FEELING FESTIVE AND THANKFUL

So, being the idiot that I am, I scheduled this post for the 11th January by accident instead of the 11th December – doh. So apologies for this very late instalment of Blogmas! I’m not gonna lie, this week has been a toughy. I really feel like I am being tested at the moment and my patience and mental wellbeing is really starting to wear thin. However, to counteract how rubbish I’ve been feeling, I’ve been thinking about all the things in my life that I am thankful for, especially at this time of year.
